THE STORY BEHIND THE PIECE
The pose your hands still remember
A photograph can preserve a moment, but sometimes what you miss is the feeling of their whole little presence: the way one ear leaned forward, the curve of a sleeping back, or the patient look they gave you while waiting for a treat. Those details are where this figurine begins.
We study several reference photos together, map the markings and proportions, and choose the pose that feels most recognizably yours. The sculpture is built and refined by hand, then painted in thin layers so freckles, muzzle shading, paw color, and the expression around the eyes can be treated individually.
The finished piece is not meant to replace them. It is a quiet place for the love to land—a familiar shape on a desk, bedside table, or memorial shelf that can make a room feel a little less empty.
